Darren has been playing drums professionally for 17 years and in that time he has performed with The National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO), The Drifters, various west-end musicals and with pop artists such as Lionel Richie, Will Smith, Lucie Silvas & Joss Stone to name a few.
Darrens previous teachers were some of the UKs best, Bob Armstrong, Dave Hassel, & Neil Wilkinson.
Darren teaches students of all levels, beginner to advanced on real drums in his soundproof home studio. Covering topics such as Hand /Foot Technique, Double Pedal Playing, Independence, Moeller, Chart & Sight Reading, Time playing, Linear phrasing, Listening skills, Styles & Grooves such as Cuban, Brazilian, Jazz, Funk & Rock.
Darren is also a Faculty member of the Drum Institute in London.
